Three of my family is sick. The thing is I only thought they had colds with coughs until Dh went to the Dr yesterday thinking he may have strep due to white tougue. He found out he had Bronchitis so I took my two younger kids and they have it also.
As a Mom I have taken the kids when they have a virus thinking they were sicker and now they were sick I should have taken them sooner. It's so hard to know if it's a virus, cold or infection. I've been told so many times it's a virus that I wasn't going to do thinking he'd say take this cough medicine and they are fine.
Any one else feel like this? I now feel bad that they were actually sick for days and then gave it to Dh .

Yeah...yesterday, I was called to pick up my daughter from the nurse's office because she had 101 fever. The day before she was sent to the nurse's office because she was emotional, but then she was sent back to her class because she didn't have a fever and wasn't complaining about anything. At home she kept saying she was hot, but I kept taking her temp and it was normal and after giving her a shower she felt cooler. She didn't complain in the morning and she still didn't have a temp, so we sent her to school. Now she has a cough too. My youngest has a cough also, but no fever. I'm hoping it's not the flu...so many people in my oldest's school are out because of the flu.
It's so hard to know when they are really sick and whether or not to take them to the dr. or keep them home, etc. We kept both kids home today and hopefully they'll be better over the weekend!
Hope your family gets better soon too, za5ofus!

Now my husband has a fever too! After the kids are in bed, I'm going to run to Wegmans to pick up more cold eeze, motrin, oj, soup and easy lunch/dinner stuff.

We have 2 out of 5 sick here at the moment... and unfortunately one is ME :-( This is the third time this season I have battled this sinus/cold/virus/whateveritis. We are usually extremely healthy, this stinks!! One of my little guys is coughing up a storm as well. I usually don't take them to doc unless there's a fever but we'll watch and see.... feel better everyone!!

Hope everyone else feels better too. I just took my kids to the dr. He doesn't think it's the flu, just a virus...we shall see...just tylenol/motrin, benedryl for my youngest cause she has horrible sounding post nasal drip, fluids and rest. Hopefully that's all it is and they'll be better soon!

Thanks everyone. They are feeling better. AJ still has quite a cough . He and Dad had to miss out on Cutler this weekend. The kids are on Zithromax and Dh on Amox. The kids will be off meds in 3 more days. Hopefully they will stay healthy and oldest son and I won't get sick.

Hope everyone gets better soon. It is just so hard to know whether or not to go to the dr.
